Mr. Joel Moncrief is in his second year teaching at WCA and is thrilled to be part of the WCA family. Raised in a large Christian homeschool family of thirteen in Altus, Oklahoma, Joel’s deep love for God, children, and close-knit communities makes WCA an ideal place for him to teach. Music has always been a central part of Joel’s life. He has a natural talent for teaching instrumental music and a unique gift for composing pieces that perfectly fit the makeup of each student band. Long before college, Joel enjoyed teaching music to his siblings, nurturing their love for music in the homeschool setting. Joel’s favorite part of teaching is spending time with students, helping them discover the joy of music. He values the opportunity to plant God’s Word in their hearts and minds while having fun through music. His passion and skill make music class a memorable and meaningful experience for all his students.
